I'm not a big fan of the game, for a few reasons:

1) The amount of shuffling. Last time I played, we were continuously
running into a situation of waiting for a player to shuffle. Further,
at first it's shuffling few enough cards as to make it difficult to
shuffle effectively.

2) The majority of the decisions in the game come early - it doesn't
have the right mix for my taste. Unlike some games where I have this
issue, Dominion does manage a good story arc anyway.

3) The randomness of when the cards that interact come up. Over time,
there's plenty a player can do to adjust this, but the second & third
time through the deck are critical - and uncontrollable.

4) The killer for me - there are cards in the game I just don't
enjoy. In particular, there's a card that when played allows the
current player to flip the top card from every other player's draw
pile, and choose to leave it or have it be discarded. This can cause
huge swings early, and for me is simply frustrating. Playing the game
as a prototype, I don't recall coming across this card - and I found
the game reasonably enjoyable; not great, but good enough. A few of
these frustrating cards exist as published, however, and make the game
not fun for me.
