I don't think the PR expansion is necessary, but heck, if it's CHEAP . . . why not?
I had War of the Ring once . . . tried unsuccessfully to figure out how to play it . . . finally gave up and traded it away. I do like the Lord of the Rings cooperative game, but War of the Ring is a serious wargame sorta thingy. Also, War of the Ring requires a LARGE table, and the figures start to get indistinguishable from each other unless you are one of those freaks who likes to paint miniatures. Then go crazy. : ) I also had Caylus, but thought that Caylus Magna Carta was a better, more streamlined version of the game, so I traded away Caylus. Meanwhile, I love Tigris and Euphrates. It's got a bit of a learning curve, and doesn't seem intuitive at first, but once it clicks, you realize it's actually quite simple. And I think it's a lot of fun. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BGG Down" group.
