There's not a much I can add to the great support your getting other than letting you know that you've got another BGG member pulling for you and your family. It's a tough situation to be in and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. But...life gives us what it does.
My wife's father has Alzheimer's and I know the day is coming when we'll need to cross this bridge. He still recognizes most people but having known him for 20+ years you can really see the difference between now and what once was. The biggest issue right now is the unbridled anger that comes out on even the little things. He's either relatively passive or full-throttle angry. There's no middle ground. Luckily for us, my wife has an MSW and provided counseling for parents in a pediatric nursing home (congenital and injury cases) and she was a psychotherapist. That helps in understanding what's going on and how best to deal with it but it is a difficult situation emotionally. Thanks for sharing and we're here for you. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BGG Down" group.
