I'm not sure what you are saying here but BGG already has several
employees who have no other "day job".

I agree the downtime is getting to be excessive, especially since it
doesn't seem to come with corresponding benefits.  BGG has been doing
a lot of development work but it feels like living next to a house
under construction, you get all of the impact (noise, etc.) with no
direct benefits.
