1- YES 2- That would depend on how fun the PnP version was! As a consumer I'd be pretty happy if I could try out a homemade version of things before supporting them, but tbh it might not be the best idea. Kickstarter projects that are well-run will take care to control the press for their game, releasing review copies to people who have already shown interest and are likely to enjoy them. Allowing Joe Public to personally test your game (rather than DiceTower or similar telling him it's pretty cool) could result in a groundswell, or it could backfire if there's negative reviews.
This is all a different situation if you released as a PnP well before starting any kickstarter effort; see Zombie in My Pocket. When the game already has support, there's no harm in letting people PnP; they're still likely to support you or back just for better components.
