I really mean the actual file name, I get the impression that the LyX preference is only a base name, not the real file name. Though what makes this even more annoying is that it's a hidden file, so you won't see it with Finder.

I always thought using pipes is a rather fragile way of handling this,and using various system dependent versions is even worse. Moreover, the pipe regularly fails, leaving BibDesk to hang. Clearly I consider this a LyX bug, but it affects mainly BibDesk.could beBTW, to get rid of the hang, you could remove any old lyxpipes hangingaround.tried, still hangsChristiaanChristiaan
