I have no interest in this shared bike/bus lane, as I've found it very difficult 
to share the narrow lane with buses and would rather just use the next lane over 
and share the lane with cars. But this statement regarding emergency vehicles is 
ridiculous. As far as I know, an emergency vehicle is allowed to make a turn 
even if the turn is forbidden to other vehicles as long as it has its lights and 
sirens on. So an ambulance transporting an emergency patient can of course make 
a right turn off of Chestnut to get to Jefferson. If I'm wrong about this, 
please correct me.
