I suspect you are a female, so my male advice may not be so useful to you personally (you conveniently have an androgynous-sounding name!) However, my favorite saddle is from Koobie. www.koobie.com. I have two Koobie road saddles, one of which I rode 3,600 miles across the USA with great success.
I find that a firm saddle is better than a squishy one. Speaking as a male who bikes a lot and has developed their leg muscles. The Koobie is split down the middle (similar to a cut-out), not because I ever had problems with the standard type saddle, but a cut-out is the "in" thing these days, and I am not bothered by the cut-out, so why take the chance, I say! -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of c t Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 2003 5:25 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Bikies] comfortable saddle? Can anyone recommend a comfortable bike saddle? I've tried so many different kinds ("women's" with holes cut out, gel kind, etc) and haven't found a comfortable one yet. I don't care how uncool it looks. I'd try a huge or funny looking granny seat of some kind, if I knew which one to choose. I have a mountain bike and use it for commuting, but even after 30 minutes I'm sore with the saddles I've tried. Thanks for your help!
