high. We're subsidizing 60,000 people who pay taxes elsewhere, but
congest our streets and highways, pollute our air, take up our parking
spots and make things unsafe for we pedestrians and bicyclists who try to
live a normal life in this city, 24 hours each day.
Amen to that. Annoying concept, isn't it? How ironic that those same folks think they're saving what, maybe a thousand bucks a year in taxes by moving out of town and commuting in? Do any of them ever stop to think how much that extra milage costs? 2+2=5?

Those individuals might be lost causes, but there are plenty of folks out there who haven't done the accounting I've mentioned above. I think the people on this list have a pretty good idea that fossil fuel consumption is bad for the environment. Some may even believe pretty firmly that global warming theories are valid, so I wonder why we're engaged in a debate about it?

I have nothing against a good rant, and I'd love to hear you reasoning. I've got plenty of time.
