1. I usually call out, "Passing on your left, please!"
2. We have a 2004 Prius. When we first bought it, the son of a couple we know (they live on some acreage out by Mount Horeb, so cars are the thing) said he had been told there was a huge increase in dead deer because the Priuses and others like them were sneaking up and hitting them. Anything to justify buzzing around in your ATV or SUV, I guess.
Our car is quiet when at intersections (because the car will shut off to save gas) and sometimes at the beginning of startup. I would like a Jetson's sound device, though. I assume that would also ward off deer?
