I am not an "expert" other than I am a bicyclist. I agree the center island
median is too narrow. It isn't wide enough to accommodate a single bicycle
safely (stopping distance upon the island median is not allowed for). And
certainly is not large enough to accommodate a trailer or multiple bicycles.
Also, Odana's lanes should be narrowed (similar to what was done at Midvale
Blvd.)

The accident report clearly shows the driver of the automobile "failed to yield
right-of-way" is that not against the law? When I went to drivers' education
in high school (in a prior epoch) I was taught that passing on the right is
unsafe, and in the case of an absent lane, illegal. Seems like the automobile
driver has two violations of law and a significant violation of karma
(flattening a human being to the ground with a 2,000lb deathmobile).
