in the Willy St corridor which includes Willy St and the bike path from
Blair to the river. Doesn't include Jenifer St. 

5/5/03 Willy St 50 feet east of Ingersoll- Motorist exited parking lot
hitting west bound cyclist
5/10/03 Blair @ Wilson- Cyclist traveling East on Wilson St, entered
intersection on yellow, hit by N bound motorist on Blair who proceeded
when light turned green
5/15/03 Willy St 300 feet W of Baldwin Motorist turned left into
driveway in front of westbound cyclist
8/7/03 Willy St @ Brearly  Motorist stopped at stop sign, proceeded,
hitting cyclist who was eastbound on sidewalk
10/16/03 Willy St east of Dickinson- Motorist backing out of driveway
hit cyclist on sidewalk
10/26/03 Willy @ Blount Motorist stopped at stop sign, proceeded,
hitting inbound cyclist on sidewalk


7/23/04 Willy @ Blair  Motorist turned L into Machinery Row parking lot
hitting westbound cyclist on path

5/31/05 Wilson St 500 feet of Ingersoll Motorist exiting driveway hit
westbound cyclist
8/19/05 Thorton and Willy St. Motorist Southbound on Thorton hit
eastbound cyclist riding with  traffic
9/26/05 Blair/ Willy   Cyclist turned from Blair St into n/bound
motorist

Indeed, I hear a similar complaint from folks who expect that bicyclists
should not be riding on Willy Street (the fastest and safest way to get
to the eastside from the capitol) when there is a bike path 2 blocks
away (which is a hotbed for bike-car crashes according to the 2003 crash
report

What happened to the crash reports since 2003?  Is there a way to get at
the data somehow?

Just to be difficult, Portland also had six bike deaths in 2007. I think
that qualifies for coffin status.

I rode extensively in Portland last summer and was not a big fan of
their bike schema. If there are bike boulevards two blocks over, but you
are going to the record store over here, than pretty much every motorist
thinks you are a self-righteous biker and will force you off the road.
Yes, that happened to me more than once.

We are traffic.
