Matt Logan asked <What happened to the crash reports since 2003?>

These are in the works. There were some glitches with the data files
and I think some changes in report format. The 2004 - 2006 reports
should be available this summer.

Regarding bicyclist crashes along the Isthmus section of the Capital
City Path parallel to Williamson Street in the 2003 crash report, there
were none. There were 5 crashes involving bicyclists on Williamson St,
not the bike path (one each at or near Dickinson, Baldwin, Ingersoll,
Brearly and Blount). Three of these bicyclists were riding on the
sidewalk.

I checked data for 2002 - July 2007 and only found one reported crash
along the bike path and that one was on the 1100 block of Wilson St
involving a driver exiting a driveway (forward) and a bicyclist on the
street. There were no crashes reported at the intersections of the bike
path and any of the cross streets (Thornton, Dickinson, Baldwin/Wilson,
Few/Wilson, Ingersoll/Wilson, Brearly, Patterson, Livingston, Blount).

There were four crashes reported at Thornton and Williamson, and one at
Riverside and Williamson. All but one of these involved a bicyclist on
the sidewalk along Williamson crossing Riverside or Thornton in the
crosswalk. The last bicyclist was riding on the street on Williamson.
