One other follow-up comment. I receive a lot of complaints from
pedestrians about human powered bicyclists riding and passing too fast
for comfort. When approaching a pedestrian on the path, please
- slow down
- give an audible warning that you are behind them, either by voice or
bell/horn
- wait for a reaction from the pedestrians(s) before passing, they might
move in your direction
- pass at a safe distance

If you do not want to do this, then please use the streets instead of
the paths where you know the paths are heavily used by pedestrians.

Thanks,

Arthur
