Hi Darryl,

I do most grocery shopping by bike, often carrying trailerfuls home from
Woodman's East. There is a path that runs behind the store and connects to
the area path off of corporate drive to the north and to the south connects
to Dawes St., which will get you across the Starkweather Creek (via a short
path though OB Sherry Park) and to Fair Oaks- where you can connect with the
Isthmus path. The path behind Woodman's also connects to the Hwy 51 bike/ped
overpass. I don't' think this route is well known and I think many more
people would shop this store by bike if it weren't for the prospect of
riding on Milwaukee St.

Steve

Subject: [Bikies] Shopping by bike

Hi All;

I'm looking for suggestions. I've been asked to help with Bike to Work Week
shopping demo with my trailer. I'm taking an informal survey of

Where you all like to shop with your bikes and for what and if you use
panniers, trailers or milk crates on your bikes.

Why you shop there whether it's close by, has convenient bike parking
facilities, etc.

What you shop for, usually.

How often you shop by bike or run errands by bike.

Where and when you avoid shopping by bike.

Besides shopping, where are your favorite destinations around Madison and
Dane County by bicycle?

Thanks

Darryl
