John;
Does vandalism and theft affect how many stops you make on your bike
errands?Would more secure bike racks and bike parking facilities allow you to
more more stops or longer stops on your bike runs?
I have noticed bike racks at the Walmart superstore on the south Beltline. I
could go there as it's not far from where I work. But the main complaint I have
at that store is it is so big you need a bike to get around *inside.* :-)
Ir prefer Copps on Park Street because it is near to home and small enough for
quick in and out purchases.
Thanks for your response.
Darryl

Willy Street Co-Op, Star liquors, Electric Earth,   any place that has
bike parking will get my business. If you don't you won't. Burley Nomad
Trailer can carry about 100 lbs. (about 5 paper bags of groceries, a
sixpack and a bottle of wine.

I shop for Anything, Anywhere, Any weather. I have multiple bikes and
use a Burley Nomad Trailer which can carry about 100 lbs. (about 5
paper bags of groceries, a sixpack and a bottle of wine..

I don't shop at WalMart, they are extremely bike unfriendly. They and
other businesses like them and the malls have too much car traffic that
is dangerous to cyclists. Plus there is a higher risk of vandalism,
damage or theft in these areas.

        Hi All;

        I'm looking for suggestions. I've been asked to help with
Bike to Work Week shopping demo with my trailer. I'm taking an informal
survey of
        Where you all like to shop with your bikes and for what
and if you use panniers, trailers or milk crates on your bikes.
        Why you shop there whether it's close by, has convenient
bike parking facilities, etc.
        What you shop for, usually.
        How often you shop by bike or run errands by bike.
        Where and when you avoid shopping by bike.

        Besides shopping, where are your favorite destinations
around Madison and Dane County by bicycle?

        Thanks
        Darryl
