So if the wifi in the building in DC didn't suck so bad (this is the
first opportunity I've had to even try to PAY to log on), I would have
sent an immediate update about the Google presentation this morning.

I'm going to blog a bit about other issues discussed and experienced
during my trip in DC for the National Bike Summit. (I'm way behind, so
there isn't much up yet.) Keep track here:

BUT.... on to more on Google and their bike routing. They need local
folks to tell them where there are problems or corrections needed.
Madison was one of the cities that were used during the presentation
this morning (Yeah!) and, I already noticed a few missing pieces. For
instance, the Capitol City Trail between Seminole Hwy and the SW Path
is missing.

They allowed me to sign up as a "trusted tester," as this program is
in beta. Not sure what this gives me, but I'll find out when I get a
better internet connection. With all the smart, tech-savvy folks on
this list, maybe there are others that can get in on this and do a
better job than me.

So, go in there and play with the program, and let Google know if you
find better routes, missing info, or other things that can improve the
program.

More on more exciting news form the Bike Summit coming soon.
