To reiterate what John said but added from my experience, the duck bill racks seem to accommodate more bicycles, more types of bicycles, and allow people to use the racks without having their bikes tip over than any of the other racks that are out there. They balance the need for space between bikes and the ability to fit the maximum number of bikes into the minimum amount of space. If folks have critiques of these racks, I'd like to hear them.
