There are times when the city puts up those signs where it makes no sense, like the one on the trail along John Nolen that was up next to some plastic culverts laying along side the trail in the grass for three weeks before any work was done. No contractor in sight, no work being done, but sure enough there were signs up in both directions to dismount and walk. When the city and its contractors take seriously the inconvenience they cause cyclists when blocking the only bikeway along a busy commuter route then I'll have some sympathy for your arguments Larry.
