Actually, I think you can charge whatever you want... but you can't
restrict others from distributing it. That's why redhat can sell
their version of linux - but you can also d/load it for free. They
often "hide" this bit of information on their site though - since
obviously, they want $$$.

I understand your frustration, Brian - but you really should have
known this, surely. Perhaps you think its unfair that you could do
all that work and get nothing for it - but your code was largely
based on the free work of others... you can't expect to take
advantage of that and not have a few people feel shafted (much
as I suspect you feel right now).
I don't think it'll be long before the feature is freely available
anyway - so it wouldn't have lasted long.
