Slim Development IDE

Considering the flame war that started (and may still be raging) this might
not be a wise question, but here we go.

Does anyone know of a good quality but very slim IDE for any of the
following: C,C++, or Java?

I'm asking here because regardless of the differing views concern BB and
what to include/exclude, we were most likely all drawn to BB because of it's
slim code and fast performance and I'm hoping to find an IDE that has these
same features.
