Which is why it's not "slim" :)
But you just need the kde-libs and headers, you do NOT need to *run* KDE
- I use KDevelop every now and then, particularly to set up a project
(it creates all the configure scripts and Makefiles etc, and I haven't
had the time to learn autoconf and automake myself, it's on the
to-do-list ;).
Point being: if you have the disk-space to spare and are not _too_ low
on memory, it's a nice IDE.
Vim remains my favorite, though. :)
