No. The tarball has its own size listed. Keep in mind that the disk
space used amounts to this:

After downloading the tarball, how much disk space will I need to have
(at a minimum) in order to build and install this package?

The answer is then the figure we give. Anyway, that's always been my
figuring it. I believe the Editor's Guide mentions about this as well.
