See what happens if you misspell 'para'.  It's still a programming 
paradigm.  Same goes for html. At least if you want it to validate or do 
anything significant that requires php, etc.

Docbook is an instance of XML.  That's Extended Meta *Language*.  It 
requires the same steps as C, perl, bash scripts, php, javascript, etc.

The basic skills are all the same.  The only real difference is the API.
