Wouldn't it be easier to update to gtk+-3.20.4? (3.20.5 is pending).
However it may require some other updates.
No, for quite a few reasons, I'd like to stick with 3.18. Applying a
trivial patch to it is much easier than moving to 3.20.
Note that we only add errata to the web site. We do not change released
versions of LFS/BLFS.
And for good reason. I was suggesting that this patch be recommended or
in some form of errata for 7.9 (which has 3.18 as the GTK3 version). If
you use a lot of GTK3 apps, the black flashing will drive you crazy.
