At this point, I've got a few other words for them, none of which are appropriate for this (or any other) public forum. "Kluster + ____" is more what I'm thinking than anything. On the other side of the fence, RedHat / Fedora is off in its own little world; they even have their own shell (if you can call it that), "nash". But then they always have had their own way of doing things. > ... If you > are really motivated, please feel free to grep through their scripts > looking for snd-pcm. I did. Nada. Same w all the udev directories, and everywhere else I could think of to look. I've actually taken the debian boot process (and the RedHat one) apart piece by piece before and single-stepped through it trying to track down something else that was messing with one of my device drivers. Unfortunately, like anything else I haven't seen in oh, about 6 weeks, I don't remember all that much about many of the details; I'm looking back over my own notes which is about as painful as I remember that process being in the first place. - Larry -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
