Making all in doc make[2]: Entering directory `/home/ken/autogen-5.12/doc' MAKE="make" ./mk-agen-texi.sh mk-agen-texi FAILED: Cannot locate libopts.a In the meantime, 5.13 fails for me with the same problem as 5.14 (and I checked the system didn't seem to be running out of swap space). So, I'll take the patch in the original form, test it and format it up (attribution to opensuse, explaining what it fixes) with you as the 'from'. Since I advocate --enable-static=no, I'll probably mention the patch when I put the page in.
