GentlePeopleInTheKnow I am following the instruction in the blfs book for openssl-1.0.1.e http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/svn/postlfs/openssl.html but running into problems. It compiles and tests but will not install libraries/binaries/stuff-in lib/engines/pcFILES etc.
The host has 2-core amd64cpu, gcc-4.8.1, eglibc-2.17, perl-5.18 make install ( which appears oblivious to the patch mentioned in the book ) ends like so #---------------------------- make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/dokli/openssl-1.0.1e/tools' installing man1/CA.pl.1ssl installing man1/asn1parse.1ssl installing man1/ca.1ssl installing man1/ciphers.1ssl installing man1/cms.1ssl cms.pod around line 457: Expected text after =item, not a number cms.pod around line 461: Expected text after =item, not a number cms.pod around line 465: Expected text after =item, not a number cms.pod around line 470: Expected text after =item, not a number cms.pod around line 474: Expected text after =item, not a number POD document had syntax errors at /usr/bin/pod2man line 71. make: *** [install_docs] Error 1 #------------------------------- I could manually install the stuff but prefer to run 'make install' advice will be appreciated thanks in adance LI -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
