Yes, well, I've been using LFS as my go-to system for over a decade, and
{black,flux}box has always been good enough for me, even if I built KDE
once back then (on a Pentium 233!), and last time tried experimenting
with LXDE when it could still use GTK.

I generally use 800x600, maybe 1024x768 once in a while for
something specific.

Maybe I'll look there too. I think I downloaded Tango once upon a time,
