Then this would be something to investigate. There is/was a known
problem (mid 2015) with the Intel graphics driver and plasma although
that is supposed to have been fixed upstream by now:

It would help if you could provide more information about the crash
- backtrace, etc. (My apologies if you already have in previous posts
and I missed that.)

A workaround for the above problem is to use the uxa instead of sna
acceleration method in xorg.conf:

    Section "Device"
        Identifier  "Intel Graphics"
        Driver      "intel"
        Option      "AccelMethod"  "uxa"
    EndSection
