Well, I still don't have audible output on my haswell (I haven't
looked at that problem yet, it's too busy being used for other
things), but it appears to play the au files (described as Sparc
Audio, 9000 Hz, Mono) without difficulty.
I can remember seeing errors reported by aplay, but the only
certainty is that happened on my old AMD A4 Turion, and my
original AMD A10 Kaveri. Both are now pushing up the daisies.
My current desktop machines, in their latest builds, all play those
files without reporting errors. One less thing to worry about :)
