I too have had the problem of Jaws not reading a line (or several) in Word or Outlook Express. I've found highlighting the effected area almost always works for me. I know that on two computers I've used the problem was related to my video card. The computer I usually use has a card that Jaws likes and I rarely have the problem on it. I suspect that the problem is related to my choice of script (in font settings) when I do have it on this computer.
Frustratingly normal view doesn't work for me in this version of Word, cuts my lines in half. The only view I found that lets me read the entire line is web layout view.
