I know re: the internet connections - was just gonna test it this side with 
two local machines that will be connected to their own 'local' 
internet/intranet (certain local-only IP address ranges like 192.168.1.xxx) 
in order to see what I can actually achieve before trying it out with an 
actual remote server.

Like I said, I just want to see what I can actually achieve using something 
like either narrator, or NVDA.

Firstly, will have to get the two 'connected' via either their wireless 
network adapters, or else that twisted pair (which doesn't require a router) 
cable, and try it out after maybe 'killing' the instance of Jaws on the now 
'remote' one to see what happens.

One day when I come right with the network connection, I'll let you guys 
know how it goes.
