Hi Jacob,

As I stated, for the remote access to work, all one needs is for both 
systems to be connected to the internet.  No need for cables to be run 
connecting the two computers together.

I also mentioned that the checkbox to allow sound to be sent through the 
host computer to the remote client must be checked in order to allow sound 
between the two systems.  I really do think this is the solution to your 
problem, and the most inexpensive.
