Victor, OK sounds good. Just one more question. Did your brothers copy
of JFW have the $200 remote access upgrade (From Freedom scientific)
installed?

Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] remote access

Hi Sarah,

I have to disagree with you on some things.

First and foremost, since all he wants to do is provide temporary speech
on
his system before he connects remotely to his computer at home already
running a screen reader, then I think it will do in a pinch.

Secondly, I think it's a matter of perspective in terms of what Narrator
can
and cannot do.

Obviously, being users of Jaws and Window Eyes, we tend to think of
those
program's keystrokes before we think of anyone else's keystrokes.

I can't count the number of times I've tried to read something with
Narrator, only to find I've pressed the say all command, or the insert+B
to
read the entire window. Smile.

I think if we knew what the proper keystrokes were, I think we would
have a
speech package to rival, if not beat the major competitors of Jaws and
Window Eyes. Granted, this may be wishful thinking on my part, but hey,
I
am allowed to dream, aren't I?

In any case, the remote access offered by Windows is very accessible for

what he wants to do.

I should also note that I actually tried this feature, and, once
connected,
I was able to start Jaws on my brother's system remotely, and was able
to
hear the speech come through on my computer from home.
