Can someone tell me how to setup Free Download Manager and how to use it? I
looked on the jaws-users pages and the blind computing pages and didn't find
anything that will help me.

Use Free Download Manager. The benefit of download managers is that they can
resume downloads after a broken connection so you do not have to start from
the beginning again. I have also had problems downloading big files in the
past but these download fine with free download manager. It will integrate
into both IE 6 and IE 7 but I do not believe that it supports FireFox.

The only other thing is to check through the options in free download
manager. I prefer to set it so links are available to download through a
context menu rather than letting it manage all my downloads large or small.
This can all be customised within the program however so you can set it up
so it suits you.

I think it is on the Jaws User Programs page.

He is a pretty novice computer user and I don't want to confuse him.
Besides, there has to be a fix for the problem.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

Hi, ask him to try a different browser, such as Firefox. I'm not saying
IE's the problem here; I'm just suggesting another possibility, trying
to download it using a third party browser. I must admit I like Firefox
3's new download manager, in that downloads can now be resumed from
where it's left off. Hope that helps.
