Mike,
You can go to the control panel, internet options and then to programs.
Tab down and you will see your default email program selection.

Removing the account, going into Internet options/programs page, and
arrowing to his A T&T account, and making it his default email client.
Ishe, I went to All Programs and couldn't find "Set Default Program
Access."

In my opinion, removing his account may not solve the issue of dismissing
OE
as your client.
You may remove his account from OE, but OE will still remain as your email
client until you change your default email program. You can do this by
going
to All Programs then select Set Default Program Access. For Email, choose
another client such as MS Outlook or another program as the default.
Alternatively, you can go to Control Panel, choose Task Bar and Start
menu;
move to the Start Menu tab; click on Customise button. Then tab to the
Email
field and arrow to the program of your choice such as MS Outlook,
Thunderbird, Eudora, Live Mail or such stuff. Click OK to dismiss the
customise property sheet, click another Ok to dismiss the setting dialog
and
you are done.

Yes, we set it up as an email client. I know OE is a part of XP and we
don't want to remove the program, just the account, I assume, so that OE
isn't a working program anymore. Am I making any sense? I know my
computer
lingo sucks! As I stated in my earlier post, this is my brother's
computer
so I don't want to use XPLite and permanently remove anything from his
computer. So, if I remove the account would this take OE out of the
picture, so to speak? Thanks again, take care.

Mike,
When you say you installed Outlook Express do you mean you
only set it up as the email client? I am not aware of a way
just to install Outlook Express or remove the program
itself. If you use the remove account button it will deleted
the profile you established but the program will stay as
part of Windows. This is my understanding but may not be
gospel
