hello
thank you for the possible solution to my request
i had someone remotely configure my computer and after he downloaded and ran
malwarebytes once the virus was removed all folders stated amount of unread
message
it is possible that he had done this for me as it was one of the things i
told him i had problems with
but if it happens again i will do as you suggest and uncheck group by
conversation
thank you for this tip
Yvonne

Hi Yvonne;
It sounds like your computer checked the group messages by conversation
choice for you. To undo this;
1. While in any folder in Outlook Express and with no open messages, press
Alt +V to open the View menu
2. Press enter on Current View.
3. Arrow up to " group messages by conversation " and this box is probably
checked. Press enter to uncheck this box and to take you out of the view
menu.
Hope this helps. Take care.
Mike

Subject: [Blind-Computing] folder unread messages announcement
hello
a day or so ago i wrote about not having the amount of unread messages in
my
folders
i did have 2 virus infections on the computer and malwarebytes was
downloaded and installed
when malwarebytes had finished it said there were 2 viruses and they were
removed
now when i go to my folders i have jaws tell me how many unread messages
there are in each folder
could the reason for not announcing them be connected with the virus
infections?
but my main question is this
jaws says the amount of unread messages but it also says "to move through
or
expand items use the arrow keys"
how can i get jaws to stop saying this each time i go to a folder
thank you
Yvonne
