I'm not sure if you have JAWS running from the system tray or as a separate
window but here goes.

Use whatever procedure you normally use to get to the JAWS Menus. Go to the
utility menu and enter on configuration manager. Once in the default
configuration manager, press alt s for the settings menu. Up or down arrow until you find verbosity settings. I haven't looked at this dialog box for
a while so I'm not exactly sure what's there; but it's a place to start.

HTH

My first guess would be to check your verbosity settings and the JCF file
for the mail program you're using. There may have been some changes made
when the infections were removed. I don't know why that would happen but
it
might be worth a look.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] folder unread messages announcement

hello
a day or so ago i wrote about not having the amount of unread messages in
my
folders
i did have 2 virus infections on the computer and malwarebytes was
downloaded and installed
when malwarebytes had finished it said there were 2 viruses and they were
removed
now when i go to my folders i have jaws tell me how many unread messages
there are in each folder
could the reason for not announcing them be connected with the virus
infections?
but my main question is this
jaws says the amount of unread messages but it also says "to move through
or
expand items use the arrow keys"
how can i get jaws to stop saying this each time i go to a folder
thank you
Yvonne
