I didn't purposefully not explain the fix; in fact, because I'm not a
computer wizard, Jackie helped me with it and I must say the fix was beyond
my ability not only to do, but to explain; I thank her for explaining it to
the list. I hope I didn't strain anyone's patients.

After all the time and effort the members of this list put into helping
you--again, how about a simple courteous explanation of the solution?

Do a search or "find" for one of the artists or songs and see where it
is located.

this is awful; I still can't find it, after doing what you suggested. I
even did a jaws find in which I entered c:\mymusic and nothing was
found.
It's got to be here somewhere;

It appears as you're using Windows XP.
1. Go to c:\documents and settings and look for this music subfolder
within "My documents."
2. Run a search for a file you are certain is contained within one of
those folders. When you find it press alt and the enter key to
determine the location of the file. You can now manually seek it out.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] my music isn't showing up in my doccuments;
I think I have done something stupid but I don't know what it is; I
was checking the properties of my music, which is in my documents, and
I had issues with mcafee; I guess I checked things that I should've or
unchecked them because now I don't have my music folder within my
documents, and I can't find it. I even tried to create a new my music
folder but the computer wouldn't let me. I hope someone can help; I
had a lot of stuff in the my music folder; I didn't go anywhere near
the delete button so it's got to be somewhere on this machine. Thanks
for any help.
