Thanks John,
I was afraid I might have to take those steps, but I thought I'd throw it
out there to see if anybody might have an idea of some kind of "quick fix".

Hello Ken.
I'm not sure this is going to help but I just downloaded the same update
and
I'm not having a problem. Maybe, the best thing to do would be to
uninstall
Adobe entirely, then go to their site and download a completely clean
version.
A pain I know, but I am thinking that the issue or problem is related to
your system specifically.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Can't read pdf files after latest update
Hello all,
I got a pop-up window saying there was an update for Adobe Reader, so I
downloaded and installed it.
Now, I can't read any pdf files. I know it has opened the file because I
am
able to read a few jumbled up words in the file by using the JAWS cursor,
but I can't read anything using the PC cursor.
Any thoughts on what I should do to fix this problem?
Thanks,
Ken Hopkins
