Hi, Brandon. Snip Personally, I'm fed up with clones. End snip You are right. The Star /Wars Genre has been focussing on cloning for quite a while. Especially, with the last two movies focussing on the Clone Wars. Then of course several books braught the subject up. It is a explanation way over used in the Genre. So some other alternative needs to be used to ritchen the storyline.
Snip The thing is, there are so many easier ways to explain the presence of dark Jedi. There will always be dark Jedi masters, teaching pupils in secret the ways of the dark side. The existence of a secret Sith academy could be discovered at one point in the story. End snip Very true. Even some of Luke's own students have turned over to the dark side. As some SW books have mentioned it is not a matter of if, but when. If we go by the Star Wars comics Luke himself was temperarily turned to the dark side. If we don't use the comics as factual history then no he wasn't. However, we know by the books themselves his students struggled with the dark side. Some closer than others. I know in Star by star at the end it was almost certain Jana Solo was going to turn when she used the dark side energy to frie the Vong warriors. Conciddering the story they had it coming to them. Snip I was thinking of something completely different. It is known that dark Jedi seek eternal life. Perhaps Naga Sado, who was a sith magician that also invented a few things, was working on a project such as this before he was finally slain. A great machine, or powerful crystal of some sort, that was enfused with the dark side to such a degree that it could give darkness life even after death. End snip Ah, I see. Now, we are coming to the idea the sith Lord's have created something which grants them a form of eternal life. Perhaps, it was lost, and was recently discovered by the new sith order. Snip In fact, I don't think places like Malikor 5 would be a bad choice. It was a planet used in the Knights of the Old Republic series, and was the scene of a great battle during the Mandelorean wars. Definitely something to think about. EEnd snip Ok, that is interesting. Unfortunately, I don't know much about the previous Jedi Knight series of games as I have only just played them now and then. However, I recently got my hands on Jedi Knight Battle at Altar 5. Just playing it gave me lots of game design ideas. Not to mention it was cool as heck hacking up invading Storm Troopers with my light saber. Picking up Imperial weapons and then blasting them apart. I really got a good idea of how the real SW games are done. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups.
