Hi, Charles. I also like to believe that Vaper was joking, but unfortunately the way the message was written there was none of the usual tips like I was teasing, joking, or a smile at the end of the message to suggest it was a joke rather than inflamitory. Second, I know this list in particular does have ahistory with tempers, and the best way I know to moderate this list is to give the list reminders that even jokes can be taken the wrong way, and blown in to arguments. We all know that what is joke to one person might be inflamitory to the next. For example, if someone were to make a racial mark about someone being black. It might be funny to a few people, but the person of that race might be extremely offended by that remark. Point here is that once a message is sent to the Yahoogroups server that message is no longer a private message no matter that it says, "please ignore." As a public message it is bound by the same rules as any other post being free of possably inflamitory statements. All I ask is that in the future something else be used than what was written. Smile.
