Aloha Mick,
I hear you, but I really feel strongly about having it 1 inch per 
foot. Some people are better at controling their chairs than others, 
and I think that in these times when so many people are aging, it 
will add value to my home, not that I have any plans to sell now. 
Also, I think that if one is using a manual chair, the gradual slope 
is really important. Just my 2 cents worth.
