Well Jennifer, you can get a "quick connect" assembly that will thread onto the faucet threads as the female connector and the end of the hose as the "male" connector. You can get them the other way as well, but if the "male" connector is attached to the faucet it won't offer much in the way of deterring little ones from playing with the water.
Here's the deal, the connector I recommend is a two-piece assembly that threads onto both the faucet and the hose. The faucet holds the female connector and when this piece is on the faucet water cannot pass through unless the male connector is attached. It has a design that if the water is turned on without the male connector attached little flanges that are pushed into a closed position by the flowing water closes off the device. If you install this on the faucet and hose the kids will have a tough time getting the water out of the faucet; detach the hose and hide it or put it up high where only you can reach it and they cannot. Of course, if they're really clever (and most rascals do seem to be) they might take the female part of this device off the faucet so make sure you tighten it very, very securely! ---------------- Bill Gallik E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] God made man before woman so as to give him time to think of an answer for her first question.
