I agree whole heartedly.  According to a few items I've read, about 95% of 
the energy consumed by a light bulb is converted to heat with 5% going to 
visible light.  And that visible light is converted to heat when the 
photons crash into walls and such.  Same thing with the sound energy from 
a stereo speaker.  As the speaker moves it compresses the air, that is how 
you get sound waves.  When you compress air, it heats up.

That is my understanding of the world anyway.
