It isn't true on my 05 Chrysler. Counter-clock-wise loosens all 4 wheels. However, it is true on my dad's 2000 Freightliner. I do not recall which side turns which way either. Michael

The lug nuts on a Chrysler product are designed so that the rotation of the wheel will not tend to cause the lug nut to loosen. I don't happen to have a handy Chrysler type vehicle to go see which direction the lug nuts turn on which side of the car. I also do not know if this is still tru of Chrysler products but it started way back in the Forties or early Fifties I believe.
