Ralph, try a Rotozip bit, like this one from Sears (click on the link).
These do fit in regular drills.

Thanks,

Tom

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Drilling slotted holes

Hi,

How do I go about drilling slotted holes? I am talking about those used to
allow wood panels to expand and contract. It needs to be narrow enough that
the screw head won't go through it but wide enough to let a piece slide back
and forth a little.

I don't think a router would work because of the smallness of the hole.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Ralph
