Well the rain has just driven me back in. As I wait for the first truck load of bricks to arrive I started to remove the larger chunks of concrete before climbing back into the hole and shoveling the smaller bits into the barrow but a driving rain shower stopped me. It should pass soon. My neighbour gave me and the Bosch Bruit back to the rental agency at around nine.
Once I get the rest of the debris cleared away I'll level and lay another few dozen pavers weather permitting before my dentist or after supper. I should be able to secure the hole before the week-end with the retaining wall bricks and I have a couple of cement breeze blocks to remove and replace but I'll have to get a ride to buy some mortar particularly if the weather continues to be wet like this, don't want to get that wet before use. ----- Original Message ----- From: allen dunbar To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, August 04, 2009 10:48 AM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] Re: Patio project update. dale it sounds like you earned the day off you area really doing some intense work I wish I could do physically half of what you are doing I have to settle for paying someone to do it for me though I did get the license on the car I have a little dirt devil which I use on the patio and in the garage to keep the dirt down you enjoy your time down although I think you will find some other work to do instead take care Allen ---- Original Message ----- From: "chiliblindman" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, August 04, 2009 8:50 AM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] Re: Patio project update. > Dale, it sounds like you are holding up quite well.
