I'm afraid I can't help you with anything specific.  If all you want is 
something to listen to in the kitchen you could do just as well sound wise 
and a lot better money wise with almost anything other than Bose.  Most of 
the big chain stores do have a return policy so you can take something home 
and listen to it there.  If you don't like it you can always take it back.
